   Migos rapper, Offset, has publicly tendered an apology to his estranged wife, Cardi B following his cheating scandal that caused them to split earlier this month. NEDG, BON Pick Five Parties For Presidential Debate

  The Nigerian Elections Debate Group (NEDG) and the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) have released the names of political parties that will be participating in the 2019 vice presidential and presidential debates.    According to the statement signed by the Executive Secretary of the NEDG, Mr Eddi Emesiri, the parties are Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Young Progressives Party (YPP).  The Vice Presidential debate will hold from 7 pm at the congress hall of the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja on Friday, December 14, 2018, while the presidential debate will hold just over a month later, on Saturday, January 19, 2019.   The debates will be transmitted live on all BON member stations and its affiliates as well as live streaming on all social media platforms. Day-old Baby Found Abandoned By The Roadside In Rivers State

 A Facebook user identified as Steven Ken Damola, has revealed how a day-old baby was found and rescued after the guardian left the baby on the roadside in Rivers State.  The baby was seen wrapped in a pink and blue fluffy blanket sleeping, and according to Damola, the newborn was spotted in front of Mile 3 motor park in Port-Harcourt.   Damola who shared the photos online, wrote: "this baby said to be a day old was found after abandoned in front of Mile 3 Park in Port Harcourt early this Sunday morning."

Fr. Mbaka under fire over assassination claim

  Following Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka’s claim that there was an assassination attempt on him last Thursday, some Catholics have claimed that the cleric made it up in order to curry sympathy from the public and favours from the presidency.   Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri has singled out two of his players for praise after their 2-0 victory over Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.   Sarri praised the performance of N’golo Kante and Jorginho after the win. Chelsea broke City’s Premier League unbeaten run this season on Saturday. The Blues rose from the disappointment of losing at Wolves in midweek to end City’s 21-game unbeaten league run. Unknown gunmen allegedly attack Fr. Ejike Mbaka in Enugu

  The Adoration Ministry Enugu has condemned the alleged assassination attempt on its spiritual leader, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka.   According to a statement issued to Daily Post, the assassins allegedly shot at the controversial priest on Thursday,  December 6, 2018. Mbaka came under fire recently over his declaration that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar will fail in his presidential bid. ASUP strike to begin Wednesday

  The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has announced its decision to embark on an indefinite strike from Wednesday, December 12.  ASUP National Treasurer, Suleiman Usman, disclosed this while briefing reporters, shortly after the union’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting on Friday in Kaduna State.  Usman noted that the decision was taken at the end of the meeting, which lasted for several hours at the Kaduna Polytechnic.  He explained that the planned industrial action, followed the failure of the Federal Government to implement all the agreements it entered with the union since 2016.   Usman also claimed that despite the 21-day ultimatum issued by ASUP to the government to address some of the issues it had raised over time, the FG has been nonchalant in addressing the demands for improved funding of polytechnic education in the country.  The ASUP treasurer noted that the union had given government sufficient time to implement all agreements, stressing that

  The Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria has reiterated that Catholic Priests under the canon law of the Church are barred from active involvement in Partisan Politics. This reaction is coming shortly after an altercation between controversial catholic Priest, Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka, Spiritual director of Adoration Ministries, Enugu and Ex-governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi. FR. Mbaka  CSN’s Secretary General, Rev. Fr.   A man on Thursday stabbed his two daughters to death after asking them to get into the house to eat mangoes. According to reports, the man identified as Mr James Maina called the girls after finding them playing outside the house in Mishomoroni, Mombasa county, Kenya. File photo   The girls, aged six and four, dashed indoors, looking forward to sharing the juicy fruits with their father. But their 30-year-old father instead grabbed a knife from their cluttered, one-room house and attacked them. He stabbed one in the chest and the other in the neck.  Mr Maina, whom police and neighbours said was drunk, then sat on a jerrican as his daughters’ bodies lay before him.  The girls’ deaths were discovered when Ms Lina Righa, a neighbour, called them to have lunch at her house but they did not come out.

Cause of Leicester City Helicopter Crash Revealed

  The Air Accidents Investigation Branch have revealed the cause of the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of five people, including Leicester City chairman and owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.  The helicopter picked Srivaddhanaprabha up in the centre of the pitch at Leicester's King Power Stadium after their game against West Ham, as it often did, and took off before losing control shortly after and crashing down in a car park just outside the stadium before becoming engulfed in flames.  The other four victims were Srivaddhanaprabha's staff Nursara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare, as well as pilot Eric Swaffer and his partner Izabela Roza Lechowicz.  The report explains that a pin had come loose due to a "build-up of black grease", causing the pilot's pedals to become unable to control the tail rotor, leading to a loss of control of the aircraft and subsequent crash.
