Pedro suffered 'multiple fractures' in collision with Ospina

Pedro won't be available for the remainder of Chelsea's pre-season tour of Southeast Asia after being wiped out by Arsenal's David Ospina in Saturday's friendly between the two London rivals. The Spaniard charged after a long ball from David Luiz with Gunners youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles, only to be beaten to it by the fists of Ospina. Unfortunately for Pedro, he was treated to a knuckle sandwich in the Colombian goalkeeper's follow-through. Chelsea's Pedro will return to England from the club's pre-season tour after he suffered concussion and facial injuries in a friendly 3-0 win over Arsenal in Beijing. The 29-year-old was taken to hospital following a collision with Gunners goalkeeper David Ospina on Saturday. A Chelsea statement said the Spain international was kept in overnight for observation. "He will now return to London for further review," the club added. Pedro had posted a message on social media saying "everything is OK". Chelsea are scheduled to travel to Singapore on Sunday.
