NAF Destroys Terrorists' Fuel And Ammunition Dumps

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried our successful operations to further degrade the assets of the Boko Haram sect.

In a statement made on Tuesday, October 27, Air Commodore Dele Alonge, the director of public relations and information, revealed that NAF Alpha Jets carried out air strikes and destroyed the terrorists’ vehicle workshops, fuel and ammunition dumps all within the Sambisa forest.
He said the feat by the force was as a result of a painstaking intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance efforts by the NAF’s Unmanned Aerial vehicle and ATR-42 platforms.
Alonge quoted the chief of air staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, who assured Nigerians that with these successful strikes on the insurgents, their capabilities have been further degraded to pave the way for the final onslaught by the land forces to meet President Mohammadu Buhari’s directives to bring insurgency in the North-East to an end.
A few weeks ago,  and warned the Islamic sect to surrender or face the full force of the nation’s military capability.
“My message to the insurgents is simple; it is either they give up their insurgency or they are going to face the force. We are putting together everything in place and we hope that they will keep to this advice and surrender their arms. They can come up so that we can bring this operation to an end, if not, the consequences will be terribly unbearable,” Abubakar said.
Meanwhile,  in the war aginst Boko Haram.
On Tuesday, October 20, Nigerian troops assisted by hunters and local vigilantes killed over 150 Boko Haram terrorists in Adamawa state. During an operation Nigerian military rescued 36 people including women and children, and recovered 155 cattle and sheep.
