President Buhari approves 6 directors for rural electrification board


President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of a new Board and Executive Management for Rural Electrification Agency
The chairman of the Board is Engr. Umaru Maza Maza, while the managing director was named as Mrs. Damilola Ogunbiyi

 The appointments take immediate effect Barely 24 hours after President Muhammadu Buhari approved the constitution of the board of solid minerals development fund on Thursday, April 20, in Abuja, the president has made another set of appointments.

According to a statement signed by the director, press, office of the secretary to the government of the federation OSGF, Bolaji Adebiyi, the chairman of the board is Engr. Umaru Maza Maza, while the managing director was named as Mrs. Damilola Ogunbiyi.

Dr. Sanusi Mohammed Ohiare has been appointed as the executive director (Rural Electrification); Engr. Muhammad A. Wasaram as executive director (Technical Services) and Yewande Odia as executive director (Corporate Services). Engr. Alozie Mac and Mr. Rotimi Thomas are appointed as non-executive directors.
The president has since confirmed the appointment of Engr. Saleh Dunoma as the managing director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN); Captain Mukhtar Usman as the director-general of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and Captain Fola C. Akinkotu as the managing director of Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).

The appointments take immediate effect.
Meanwhile, the minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed, has described the right won by Nigeria to host the United Nation World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) conference in 2018 as an indication that the entire world has endorsed the programmes and efforts of President Buhari’s administration.
The minister, who led Nigeria’s delegation to Addis Ababa for the 59th edition of the meeting and a high level meeting on Chinese Outbound Tourism in Africa, said the country would leverage on the hosting opportunity.
