Embattled Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has finally signed a new two-year deal at the Emirates Stadium which has now put a rest to the speculation of him leaving the North London club.
The just concluded Premier League season was baptized with lots of criticism for the Frenchman by many Arsenal fans, most especially after the Gunners failed to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League.

But the former Monaco boss redeemed himself at the end of the out-gone Premier League season by guiding the Gunners to a victory in the English FA Cup beating champions Chelsea to the trophy
The FA Cup win served as a great tonic for many Arsenal fans as they immediately forget the fact that the Gunners will not be campaigning in next season's UEFA Champions League.

On Tuesday, May 30, 2017, it was reported that the Frenchman met with Arsenal chiefs where he agreed an extension of contract before signing the deal on Wednesday, May 31, 2017.
Arsene Wenger's new contract does not include a break clause which will extend his reign with the Gunners to 23 years.
