Former Chelsea Star Ray Wilkins Dies

  Former Chelsea and Manchester United star Ray Wilkins is dead. The Englishman died on Wednesday, April 4, in London hospital.
 He was among the Manchester United squad that won the FA Cup in 1983 Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea and their rivals Manchester United have been hit with a severe blow following the shocking death of their former star Ray Wilkins.

 The England legend died on Wednesday, April 4, in a hospital in London and the news of his demise has been confirmed by Chelsea.
Last week, Ray Wilkins was reported to have been rushed to an hospital in London after suffering a cardiac arrest and was placed in an induced coma.
But he was unable to overcome his problem thereby leaving behind his wife Jackie, with whom he had two children, Ross and Jade.
Born in Hillingdon, Wilkins came through the ranks at his boyhood club Chelsea and made his first-team debut against Norwich City at the age of 17 in 1973.

 He would go on to play 179 League matches for the club over the next six years having been appointed club captain at just 18.
The Englishman also made 160 League appearances for Manchester United and helped them win the FA Cup in 1983, defeating Brighton and Hove Albion in the final.

 The ex-Chelsea and Man United midfielder, 61, was placed in an induced coma at St George's hospital in London, on Friday night, March 30, 2018.
