Catholic priest reportedly shot, students injured as gunmen attack seminary

   Two Catholic priests have reportedly been beaten and one shot in the leg by some gunmen suspected to be herdsmen, Some students were also injured while some cars were destroyed.


 Director of Caritas Nigeria, an agency of the Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Evaristus Bassey has confirmed the terrible occurrence

  There was a pandemonium in a minor seminary in Jalingo, Taraba state on Monday, May 28, when two Catholic priests were reportedly beaten, one shot in the leg by some gunmen suspected to be herdsmen.

Rev. Fr. Evaristus Bassey, made this known in a WhatsApp message.

He said: “Please Frs, pray for us. Our minor seminary in Jalingo has just been attacked by the Fulani, some students are injured, some cars destroyed, two priests beaten and one shot on the leg. They are currently receiving treatment at FMC.”
